Cheap and chearfull Internet!

Never seem to get the time to do this, at all, must be some sort of lifestyle thing.

I noted an interesting article on Broadband on the news last night, specifically looking at the claims of one supplier in the UK that you could get 8 Mb download speeds, but being less than up front that very few customers would probably achieve the advertised speed. Not surprising really, the technology doesn’t really guarantee anything unless you’re wired directly into the phone exchange from next door. If there’s one thing about technology in this mad world I’ve picked up since I left Uni., its that you normally only get what you pay for, cheap line/hardware means cheap service to boot.

Oh well, never mind, back to the grind I suppose.
