First for Fiat?

I was intrigued to find out today, by chance, more about Fiat’s eco:Drive technology.

If you have one of the new Fiats and ordered the car with the Blue&Me port built into the car, you can now do some interesting things with your car. Using their eco:Drive technology, it is now possible to download telemetry data from your car to your PC via a memory stick. You can then use their eco:Drive software (downloaded from Fiat.co.uk) to analyse your driving and your car’s performance. It will help train/tune your driving style to get the best out of your Fiat and your fuel, while at the same time help you reduce your co2 emissions.

Right out of the F1 racing world by the looks of it I think and a brilliant way to lead the way in new technology regards motoring and the environment.
